OMG!  Thanksgiving and Black Friday are right around the corner.

This year many stores are taking the day off entirely. Even more surprising, some stores will close their doors on Black Friday, opting to allow their employees and customers to enjoy the holiday weekend with their friends and families.

Over 40 additional closures have been confirmed, so please see our ongoing list of Thanksgiving and Black Friday 2016 closures below.

Mall of America is Closed, But There is a Catch

As recently reported, Mall of America will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. This means 1,300 employees will likely have the day off, but that could change if any of the over 500 individual stores decides to remain open. Certain mall employees — maintenance and security workers — will have to work if enough individual stores within the mall open their doors.
